Bigger shops – more profit? 💰

A holiday week is over for us, and a lot happened to the game.

Unfortunately, our graphics department was sick 🤒, so we (I) focused on programming tasks.

You can expand shop spaces, but what should you do when you want to un-expand a shop space?

Now you can release shop spaces! 🎉

Released lots are available for further construction, like building a new shop space or toilets 🚻 (coming soon).

Currently, you won’t see a difference on the map between an empty shop space and a released lot, but the sidebar knows.

When expanding and releasing shop spaces, it’s easy to create some impossible shop layouts.

Don’t worry, the game won’t let you build that. 🙃

You may even not want to build too much, because expanding and releasing come with a price! 🫰

Why should you even expand shop spaces? 🤔

Larger store spaces will bring you more rent, but they also have increased renovation costs.

Notice that both income and expenses won’t double on a shop space of two, so you will have to find the right balance.

There is a new category: Electronics! 📱

All this high-tech equipment needs a lot of space, so to rent space for an electronic store, you need at least two shop spaces.

When Below Average Joe noticed that finding the right shops for bigger spaces is a lot of work, he just mumbled ”Nah, that’s no work for me”.

The availability of a realtor depends on the shop space.

Good ol’ Joe can only work with single shop spaces; May Be is capable of handling up to four; and Luther likes money, so he will find shops for any size. 💸

The new features will need some more UI refinements and testing.

We can’t wait to release the next version for our alpha tycoons and gather your feedback!
